She won the Miss Malaika pageant in 2006 and her life changed from one of obscurity to fame.
Hamamat Montia since then grabbed national attention with her beauty and charm. That pageant gave her the needed platform to launch her modeling career.
She has constantly been in the news for all the good and in an equal measure, the bad reasons too.
Recently, the dress she wore to the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards became the subject of discussion in the local media.
