Cape Coast Venomous Vipers were held to a 1-1 draw game by Winneba Windy Professionals in their First Division league match played at the Robert Mensah stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Vipers who were outplayed by their opponents for the greater part of the game went ahead against the run of play when they were awarded a penalty in the 75th minute for midfielder Nathaniel Annan to convert the spot kick.
Even though the visitors were down by a goal they continued to dictate the pace of game and it came as no surprise when outside-right Ofori Boadi pulled even for his team in the 80th minute.
The best chance for Vipers to carry the day came in the 85th minute when they were awarded another spot kick, but Annan’s kick hit the posts and rebounded into play.
From other matches, Sekondi Eleven Wise pipped Ebusua Dwarfs 1- 0, Feyenoord spanked Elmina Coconut Grove 4-2 with SAMATEX also beating Sekondi Metro Stars 2-1.Source: GNA
