After 26 years of flying experience worldwide, Virgin Atlantic turned one year in Ghana on the 24th May 2011 and celebrated it in grand style at the African Regent Hotel with friends- Vodafone, Zenith bank, Chase petroleum, Glico insurance and Diageo.
The West African Regional Manager for the airline said after servicing Ghana with a year of spectacular rates and impeccable service, "we have so much more to offer in the coming year and subsequent years to come".
He announced that "Virgin Atlantic is pleased to introduce a fourth flight to its existing 3 flights a week schedule, the fourth flight is scheduled for Monday evening of 20th June from the UK and Tuesday June 21st in the morning".
The Head of Marketing and sales for the Airline also stated that apart from the new added flight schedule, passengers can benefit from their Flying Club package, a formula which is very rewarding. The more times one flies with Virgin Atlantic, the more tier points one is expected to earn, propelling you from Flying Club Red, to Silver, up to Gold and with a range of different exclusive benefits available as a Silver and Gold member.
He said moving up means you can experience more of the best that Flying Club has to offer. Ultimately, how you benefit from their airline reward scheme is up to you.
“You might want to use your miles to upgrade flights to Premium Economy or luxurious Upper Class. Then again, you might not want to spend your miles on flying at all! Virgin Atlantic airline rewards package brings you a great range of benefits, including hotels, restaurants, spas, fine wines and fantastic experiences,” he added.
The Head of Marketing and sales threw light on their various classes:
“The premium economy offers a wide range of services; 21 inch wide leather seats with plenty of extra space to stretch out, a refreshing approach to in-flight dinning, stylish amenity kit packed with essentials, and for those who fancy entertainment on a flight, there is up to 300 hours of entertainment waiting on your personal seat-back screen. Some might call these extras but to Virgin Atlantic they are essentials.
“Upper class offers clients nothing but the best in airline flying. Transform your seat into a proper two metre bed with just a push of a button, a great on board bar well stocked and always friendly with a variety of drinks at your service. Everything comes? . After long hours of flying you are revived at our clubhouse lounge which not only has spacious shower rooms, but a spa, housekeeping service that can press your clothes, a full service restaurant and lots more.
At the end of this all enjoy a great limo service pickup straight from the airport to your destination.”
