Vivo Energy Ghana has launched She’llFix, a programme aimed at equipping female drivers with basic car maintenance skills.
The initiative was introduced at the Shell Airport City service station in Accra and brought together female drivers, transport stakeholders, and civil society representatives.
At the launch, participants received practical training in essential skills such as checking oil levels, jump-starting a car battery, and handling common roadside problems. Sessions also covered road safety and driver-police relations.

Vivo Energy officials said the initiative is intended to give women more confidence on the road and reduce their reliance on roadside assistance.
The programme forms part of broader discussions on women’s participation in technical and male-dominated fields. The President of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana, Esther Ambah Numaba Cobbah, who attended the launch, said such initiatives challenge stereotypes about women and technology.
The event also featured demonstrations by car maintenance experts and opportunities for participants to interact with industry stakeholders.
