The Black Maidens of Ghana came from behind to beat Benin in their second game at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Saturday, December 14.
Gertrude Amoafoh scored a goal in each half to ensure Nana Joe Adarkwa's side maintained their 100% start to the WAFU B U-17 Girls' Cup.
Yenido Gandonou opened the scoring for Benin after 12 minutes played to get her side in the lead. That lead lasted just 25 minutes as Ghana leveled in the 37th minute.
Amoafoh beat the Beninois defence to level proceedings for the host nation. Ghana then took the lead just before the break time.
Priscilla Mensah netted her second goal of the tournament on the 45th-minute mark. Her goal meant the Black Maidens went ahead for the first time in the game.
With 10 minutes away from full time, Gandonou grabbed her second goal of the game.
Benin's celebrations were however short-lived as Amoafoh came to the party once again and snatched a late winner for Ghana to make it 2-3.
The win means the Black Maidens finish top of the group and will face the second-placed team in Group B.
