Schools keep springing up like mushrooms, knowledge keeps increasing like our taxes and everybody is running after some kind of knowledge to build capacity and to increase both spiritual and material wealth.
Knowledge indeed is power and that power propels us to greater heights and memorable achievements. YES!
BUT! What kind of society are we building if our focus only favours the amassing of book knowledge without keen interest in the character development of the young and the growing?
We educate, We empower, We inspire, We direct, We mentor and as we keep at it. We mould. We mould the future and Character of this great nation from the development stages of our young and school going age.
We strive to develop our country and people and yet the moral armor that once protected the values of this country continues to deplete faster than the ozone layer.
Our Schools and Institutions of higher learning remain Bakeries with our teachers, instructors and lecturers the Boulanger (The Baker) and the best bread we produce will not come only from the baking oven but the kind of ingredients the baker puts into preparing it.
A good student needs a better teacher to be the best, just as good materials in the hands of a better manufacturer could produce the best finished results.
We all have a role to play in writing the history of our dear nation once so rich not only in natural resources but also in rich morals and cultural values. The very first government is the home with the father as the president responsible for responsible leadership and the provision of the basic needs to develop his family and the mother is the vice president who chairs all committees and plays the role of the speaker of the home parliament, Chairperson of the counsel of the home state and in collaboration with the President (The Husband) serves the best interest of all under their roof in accordance with the Constitution of the republic of the Home which is the word of God (The Bible).
It is not just up to our elected or appointed political leaders to make this nation great, it is up to you and I to become the change we so seek not in loud words and empty speeches but in little seeds of great deeds wherever we find ourselves whether at home, at work, in school, in church…wherever…
Don’t just live to pay bills and die. Live to contribute to building strong families with strong values.
Don’t just be a man. Be The MAN and get involved…
