Vice-Chancellor of Tamale Technical University (TaTU), Professor Abass Braimah, has stated that the University is poised to create an enabling environment for students to explore possibilities beyond learning and acquiring a paper qualification.
He said to achieve this strive the university is equipping its students with the needed employable skills in the world of work after graduation.

He also said the introduction of about 20 new courses by TaTU, in Bachelor of Technology programs and their accompanying Diploma of Technology programs, is geared towards this same goal.
He said the university has ultra-modern laboratories and workshops that will enhance its program delivery and hands-on skills training.

Speaking at the 4th Matriculation ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor said that TaTU is prepared to offer students a unique experience and knowledge that will guarantee them the skills they will need to succeed in life.
He assured the matriculants of the institutions' vision and roadmap that will present them valuable options after graduation because the curriculum for programs offered at TaTU combines both theory and practical skills and high is balanced and complementary.

He said as the school rolls up new programs to create avenue for more intake of students, TaTU continues to increase its academic and administrative staff numbers as well as improving them in terms of quality and capacity to ensure students acquire quality training.
He urged the matriculants to cultivate the spirit of discipline in their endeavours.

The University matriculated a total of 2,803 students in various disciplines for the 2021/2022 academic year.
Out of this number 955 are females and 1,834 are males.
