Dancer Endurance Grand has addressed criticism of her relationship with colleague Afronitaaa.
She said people’s opinions could never determine her relationship with Afronitaaa, adding that they have developed a sisterly bond and refuse to be torn apart by the public.
In an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes show, there has never been anything wrong between them, and two friends should not be blamed for certain happenings because all humans are prone to making mistakes.
The dancer was responding to a question regarding her current relationship with Afronitaaa.
“For Dani and me, nothing has ever been wrong. I feel like whatever happens in life between two friends is never our fault. It’s not what the public will say about the two of us that will define how I still feel about Afronita. Nothing of that sort has ever changed,” she told Roselyn Felli.
Being in the same field has been tough for both of them due to the comparisons they receive now and then, but they try to ignore them and focus on achieving their ambitions.
They have different ways of doing things, and their interests vary, so Endurance is confident that they cannot be deterred by critics because they need to be true to themselves.
“We text and talk when we have to. It’s just that Dani has to do Dani and I have to do me. We’re human beings; sometimes when I see it, I don’t feel happy about it, and I’m sure that when she sees it, she equally doesn’t feel happy about it. It’s just so unfortunate that in this industry we’re in, people turn to compare creative. So, I’ve come to realise that it will always happen,” she said.
However, what matters to Endurance Grand is how such information is consumed, and she is glad that they are not prioritizing the comparisons or paying attention to negative comments.
Regardless of their differences and Afronitaaa's exit from the Dance with Purpose (DWP) academy, Endurance assures that they are still on good terms and do not envision separating emotionally.
Born Dedzo Endurance Dzigbordi and Danita Akosua Adomaah Yeboah, the two talented dancers are undeniably among Ghana’s best female dancers and have dazzled fans with their skills through their creative styles.
