At the 30th President’s Award for Export Achievement held at the Kempinski Hotel on December 9, 2022, Wilmar Africa Limited picked up nine prestigious awards including the Overall best exporter for the years 2019 and 2020.
At the event organised by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Wilmar Africa’s contribution to sustaining the economy through the export of high-quality products was highly commended.
It was a momentous occasion for Wilmar Africa when it was called upon to receive nine coveted awards at the event.
These awards included Gold category Exporter of Shea Karite Oil, Stearic Acid, Refined Palm Oil and Fatty Acid.
Wilmar Africa was also named Exporter in the Gold category - 2019, Exporter in the Silver category – 2020, Most Diversified Exporter – 2020 and the overall national best exporter for 2019 and 2020.
These awards are authentication of Wilmar Africa’s success in oil palm cultivation, oil seeds crushing, edible oil refining and speciality fats and have proven its effectiveness in achieving long-term sustainable growth and serving both local and international clientele.
Wilmar’s involvement in the refining, packing and distribution of edible oils in both local and international markets with brands such as Frytol Vegetable Oil, Fortune Oil, Viking Oil, and Alffi Oil continue to thrill families throughout Ghana and beyond.
The Ghana Specialty Fats Industries Limited situated in the Tema Free zone Enclave remains an integral part of the Wilmar group, processing shea into shea olein and speciality fats for local industries and for exports largely.
At the event, Wilmar was noted for its cooperative social responsibility programs that support the less privileged in diverse ways.
The business remains committed to a sustainable approach to how its entities remain integral in creating employment, providing income to Ghanaians and revenue to the state at large.
