The Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit in Kumasi has begun the process to prosecute a guardian who brutalized a 6-year-old boy with a hammer.The 37-year-old lady was arrested two weeks ago after she brutalized the class one pupil for not performing household chores.The boy, who sustained severe injuries on the head, eyes and ribs has since been released from hospital.The Ashanti Regional DOVVSU Coordinator, DSP Kwaku Amoako said the victim, who had spent 10 days in the hospital had been discharged and is at the children’s home.He said case docket had been forwarded to the Director of Police Prosecution for immediate action.Source: Joy News/Ghana
