A three-day workshop on the new health system database that seeks to improve information on reproductive and child health programme in the country, opened at Takoradi on Thursday.
Directors of health and disease control and health information officers in the Western Region were attending the event that was organised by the Ghana Health Service.
Miss. Gifty Tagoe, the Deputy Director of Nursing Services and Public Health in-charge of the Western Region, said the System would facilitate the gathering of data on reproductive and child health programme, particularly in the districts.
She said the software has a built-in system to correct errors in reports to enable health officials make information readily available for planning.
