A resident pastor of Winners Chapel International, Pastor Salem Maigeri, has advised Christians to take responsibility this year if they are to be better in all aspects of their lives.
He urged them to move away from blaming family and others for their failures and rather, take charge of their own lives.
“Taking responsibility this year will make you become a victor and not a victim. To become a victor you must be a fighter. Make up your mind that even if you get knocked down by any change, refuse to stay down, bounce back up and move forward. The outcome of any battle is a function of two principal things; thus; strategy and superiority of the weapons you take into the battle,” he said.
He was speaking on Joy FM’s daily Devotional Programme, Joy Time in His Presence on the topic, “how you can nurture 2023 into anything you want it to be.”
He further encouraged the public to improve on their successes chalked last year and learn from the mistakes of the previous year, adding that this new year is packaged with new possibilities.
“The new year is still in its infancy, you can nurture 2023 into anything you want it to be…things will be better, people will become better than last year, better in health, better spiritually, and we will step up financially.”
Pastor Salem advised the youth to approach this New Year with strategy. He added that to see improvement in “our lives this year, we must give our lives a business approach.”
“Make up your mind to be a person of value, but you take up the responsibility to be an asset and not a liability.”
He also encouraged all and sundry to learn a new skill this year, a skill that will be a solution to a problem around.
He finally encouraged couples to make time for their spouses, children, and consciously include them in their itinerary for the day.
