Mr Felix Mortey, Chairman of Elorm E.P Church District Council Boys and Girls Brigade, on Saturday advised Ghanaian youth to be mindful of their health.
He said they should be abreast of the different types of diseases that confronted them today and find ways of preventing them in order to stay healthy always.
Mr Mortey made the call in an interaction with the media during a health talk as part of activities to mark the Brigade's Awareness Day in Ho.
He said it was important that young people managed their health well in order to live longer and be productive future leaders.
Mr Mortey advised them against the use of illicit drugs, promiscuity and intake of string liquors.
Mr Vincent Fekpe, Regional Blood Organizer of the Regional Hospital, who educated members of the Brigade on Hepatitis "B", also advised the youth to eat well especially fruits to boost their immune system.
The Brigaders were later screened for Hepatitis "B". After a screening, they also donated blood to the Regional Blood Bank.
A health walk was also organized to mark the celebration.
