The Ɔdadeɛ 2000 group of the prestigious Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC-Legon) on Saturday, 7th January 2023, held its annual Sadaqah event within the Awutu Bereku community of the Central Region.

Sadaqah, an annual charity event of the year group, is their way of giving back to society, and thanksgiving to God for His grace and direction during the past year.

This year's event which is the 6th of its kind, settled on Awutu Bereku but had in previous editions fed underprivileged kids in communities such as Korle-Bu, Chorkor, James Town, and Tema New-Town.
Sadaqah feeds over 1,000 children and individuals selected from some of the poorest communities in our country.

Speaking at the event, Adonteng Hene of Awutu Bereku, Nai Ncharkey Okai VII, praised the organisers for their thoughts and called for discipline and family ties to be reinforced to avoid societal crimes.

On his part, the organiser of the group, Edmund Wallace, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the underprivileged as part of their social responsibility.
The 6th edition of the Sadaqah activity was well attended by the chiefs, community leaders, and youth of the Awutu Area, who thanked and encouraged the Ɔdadeɛ 2000 group to do more for the society.
