Try new things that can distract you from any memories you may have of your ex.
9. Talk to your family
Although they may not be your favourite people in the world, they are your family and can give you advice.

Don’t dwell on what you did wrong in the relationship. Get up, and go do something new.
7. Avoid alcohol and other stimulants
Stimulants are a short-term solution to a long-term problem that only makes things worse in the end.
6. Cut off contact completely
Do not speak to your ex or even your ex’s friends. Delete them on social media as well so you aren’t constantly seeing what they are up to.
