Avram Grant has confirmed he will travel to Senegal to offer his ‘support’ to the Ghana U20 team at the African Youth Championships in Senegal.
The Black Satellites open their campaign on Monday against South Africa.
Grant, according to the GFA will be at the tournament to play a supporting role in helping the team to be successful once more again in the continental championships.
The Israeli trainer will however miss the team’s opening group game on Monday but will be on hand ahead of their remaining two group fixtures against Zambia and Mali.
There were however doubts as to whether the 60-year-old will indeed travel to Senegal for the tournament – a doubt Grant has completely cleared by confirming his trip to go check on the possible next generation of the Black Stars.
“I am going for the second game because I wanted to see this game [Liberty vrs Bechem] before,” he said.
“There was no flight for me to go and see the first game but I will see the second and the third game and of course I will support the team.”
