The Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has announced intentions to unveil the party's manifesto for the upcoming 2024 general elections by the middle of the year.
The manifesto launch will highlight several key policies, including the 24-hour economy, the elimination of ex-gratia payments, and the deployment of nurses abroad to tackle unemployment among healthcare professionals.
Speaking during his 'Building Ghana Tour' in Accra, on Monday, March 11, Mr. Mahama expressed confidence in the manifesto's ability to spur socioeconomic progress.
He emphasised the importance of engaging stakeholders in discussions to refine the party's goals.
Following the manifesto launch, the NDC will officially kick off its campaign to garner support for its vision.
Mr Mahama outlined the party's outreach strategy, underscoring the importance of community engagement to effectively communicate their agenda.
“Once we have done that fleshing out, and we’ll finish the 'Building Ghana Tour', we’re going to put all the points together, and we are hoping that before the middle of the year, we will be able to launch the manifesto and after that, I will launch the campaign officially…and we’re going to go all out.
"We’re going to go door to door. We are going to go from kitchen to kitchen,” he added.
