The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has congratulated its member, Mr. Dickson Kyere Duah, Sports Minister Mustapha Yussif, and Ghana Weightlifting President, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, on their parliamentary election victories.
According to a statement signed by President, Kwabena Yeboah, Mr. Dickson Kyere Duah's victory is a testament to his resilience and hard work.
"Dickson Kyere Duah, SWAG's Regional Vice Chairman in the Brong Ahafo area, won his parliamentary seat on his third attempt as the MP-Elect for Berekum West. His resilience, hard work, commitment to promoting sports development in the region, and his dedication to public service are truly commendable," the statement said.
SWAG also praised Mustapha Ussif, the current Minister of Youth and Sports, for his dedication to promoting youth empowerment and sports development in the country.
Additionally, SWAG commended Jerry Ahmed Shaib, President of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation and Deputy Secretary-General of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), for his electoral victory in the Weija Gbawe Constituency.
The association expressed its pride and hope that their companionship will make significant contributions to the sports ecosystem.
