The suspects are: Kwesi Amoasi, 54, Emmanuel Asiedu, 59, both storekeepers of the Nkawkaw Senior High School, and James Kessie, a 48-year-old logistics officer of the GES in the Birim North District in the Eastern Region.
They were said to have stolen and given the stationery to one Nana Yaw, a 46-year-old Accra based book printer, who attempted to board a bus with the items at Nkawkaw on July 28, 2011 at about 8 am with the intention of selling them in Accra.
However, a patriotic citizen, whose name has been withheld by the police, prevented Nana Yaw from boarding the bus with 11 copies of Macmillan dictionaries, 99 copies of school admission registers, six 'cartons of exercise books and three cartons of teachers' lesson notebooks.

A press release signed by the Eastern Regional Public Affairs Officer of the Ghana Police Service, Chief Inspector Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, and issued in Koforidua Friday said Nana Yaw led to effect the arrest of the three GES officials.
The release said Nana Yaw had been detained for dishonestly receiving the stolen stationery meant for students.
