Parliament’s Appointments Committee will vet six nominees for ministerial appointments on January 24 and 25.
A statement issued by the Deputy Clerk to Parliament named the nominees as Seth Terkper (Minister designate for Finance and Economic Planning), Hanna Tetteh (Minister designate for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration), Alhaji Collins Dauda (Minister designate for Water Resources, Works and Housing) and Clement Kofi Humado (Minister designate for Agriculture).
The rest are Alhaji Inusah Fuseini (Minister designate for Lands and Natural Resources) and Alhaji Amin Amidu Sulemani (Minister Designate for Roads).
The statement is inviting written memoranda from the general public to the Clerk to Parliament on the nominees ahead of their vetting.
President Mahama has so far nominated 19 persons for ministerial appointments.
