An Akim Swedru Circuit Court on Tuesday remanded Kwasi Tamakloe, a mason in prison custody for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old pupil.
He pleaded not guilty and would re-appear on November 29.
Police Inspector Ben Osei Kwadwo, prosecuting told the court presided over by Mr Edward K.B. Apenkwah that the accused lived at Quarshie Nkwanta, while the pupil attended school at Akim Swedru.
He said on September 30, this year, the accused invited the victim to accompany him to harvest vegetables from his farm at Akim Swedru and would be given some of the vegetables to sell.
The prosecution said on the farm, the accused defiled the victim after that he gave her two Ghana cedis and warned her not to inform anyone or she would die.
He said the victim on arrival at home reported her ordeal on the farm to her father who reported the matter to the police who arrested the accused and after investigations charged him with the offence.
