The Member of Parliament for Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo, Joseph Labik says there is a high possibility of another clash between the Konkombas and Bimobas in the area.Mr. Labik says there is still tension in the area emanating from the last clash that was said to have displaced over 10,000 people and about 455 homes burnt. The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mustapha Idris last Friday at an emergency meeting with the leaders of the area described the area as one, fast gaining notoriety as a conflict zone and warned that the security forces would deal ruthlessly with any trouble maker who attempted to disturb the peace in the area. However the MP for the area says the last conflict was not properly resolved, and told Joy News he had information that both sides of the last conflict were arming themselves for a possible clash this coming dry season.Hon. Labik said he had informed both the Regional Security Council and the Interior Ministry on the need to prevent another clash.
