Orlando Pirates-bound Fatau Dauda expects a tough challenge in South Africa, but says he is confident of making the number one jersey his own.
As reported by KickOff.com yesterday, the Ghanaian international goalkeeper had a medical at Parktown on Tuesday and is now back in Accra preparing for his move to PSL.
Dauda will be up against the likes of Senzo Meyiwa and Brighton Mhlongo at Pirates – and possibly Moeneeb Josephs if the club change their mind on him before the end of the month – but he remains unfazed.
“I find it a big opportunity and a huge challenge,” Dauda tells KickOff.com. “I know they have good goalkeepers at the club, but football sometimes is about testing yourself against the best and I enjoy that.
“It is a challenge I handled well before I became first-choice Ghana goalkeeper so it is nothing new.”
