As part of Ghalca’s plans to give the President’s Cup a continental outlook, 4-time time African Champions Tout Puissant Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigerian giants Enugu Rangers would be taking on their Ghanaian counterparts Accra Hearts of Oak and Medeama Sporting Clubs.
The four clubs would go into a play-off for a place in the final with Medeama taking on Rangers at the Essipong Stadium on June 28 with Hearts of oak squaring up against the Congolese side 24 hours later.
The winners are scheduled to play in the final on July 1st.
The four participants of this year’s President’s Cup were revealed at a media launch held at the La-Palm hotel.
In attendance were the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon Joseph Yammin, Ghana Football Association Executive members as well as past Ghalca Chairmen.
The first gentleman of the land, H.E President John Dramani Mahama is expected to be at the event to present the trophy to the winner.
The Rangers and Mazembe are expected to arrive in Ghana 48 hours before the tourney commences.
