In-form Hearts of Oak captain Mahatma Otoo heads a three-man shortlist for the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Premiership Player of the Year.
But the Ghana international must fend off competition from Amidaus captain Yahaya Mohamed and Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffu.
Otoo leads the scorers chart in the Ghana Premier League with 17 goals with one match left to the end of the season.
His purple patch of form has made him the most sought-after locally-based Ghanaian player.
Mohammed, on-loan from Kotoko, has banged in 11 goals as a midfielder for the promoted league side.
Akuffu made the cut after impressive displays for the defending league champions who are on top of table ahead of this weekend’s final round of matches.
The winner will be announced at the Awards Gala on Saturday 29 June at the Banquet Hall, State House, Accra.
