Ghana’s road to bring back glory in the U-20 level following the success in 2009 has become narrower. The Black Satellites have lost both their two opening group matches at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey. The first game saw Sellas Tetteh and his charges losing 1-3 to France, and losing 0-1 against Spain at the Ali Sami Yen Arena in Istanbul. The Satellites thus find themselves at the foot of group A with no point after the USA picked a point in their 1-1 draw with France. But there is still a glimmer of hope for the team to progress to the next round if they beat USA on Thursday and hope their three points will be among the best four third-placed teams.Midfielder Alfred Duncan admits playing Spain brought the best out of them but the Inter Milan youngster believes “they were unlucky not to have won. I think this was a very tactical game that made us bring out our best but I guess our best wasn’t enough.”According to the Inter Milan player, “there are a whole lot of things going on but as players we can’t say right now. We are waiting for the right moment, we will speak out soon. People back home may be saying maybe we the players are not doing well but we are actually giving it our all, maybe it’s just not enough. We will keep pushing harder and harder.”Asked what he thinks about Ghana’s chances against the USA in the final group game, Duncan was optimistic saying “we have lost two games, let’s put the qualification aside, we need to at least win that last game to give Mother Ghana something to smile about.”
