Dutchman Hans Van der Pluym has been appointed the new head coach of MTN FA Cup finalists Medeama SC.
According to sources, Van der Pluym had been targeted by the Tarkwa-based team from the moment it became clear that his contract with Berekum Chelsea was not going to be renewed.
Van der Pluym led Berekum Chelsea to second place in the just ended Glo Premier League season, taking over as head coach after originally starting the season as the club’s technical director.
Van der Pluym led Berekum Chelsea to the group stages of the 2012 CAF Champions League and has also worked with Heart of Lions and Gomoa Fetteh Feyernoord.
