Global Media Alliance (GMA) is set to organise its annual South African Freedom Day Golf Tournament at the Celebrity Golf Course, Sakumono on April 27th, 2019.
The Freedom Day Golf Tournament is aimed at bringing together competing golfers both from the Ghanaian and South African Communities to network as well as display their love for the game.
Speaking on the tournament, the Chief Executive Officer of GMA, Mr. Ernest Boateng stated that, ‘the event will offer an opportunity for all South African businesses, diplomatic corps, Corporate Ghana and individuals to network and have fun while playing Golf.’
“Freedom Day commemorates the beginning of democracy in South Africa. It is a remarkable day in the history of South Africa and Africa for that matter, bringing to mind stalwarts like Nelson Mandela. The golf tournament, therefore, serves as a good platform to engage each other and to share ideas on what the future holds for the South African Business Community in Ghana,” he added.
“Last year, we had hundreds of golfers together with their families attending the event. We anticipate to host more this year.” Mr. Boateng concluded.
Special Guest of Honour for the event is the South African High Commissioner to Ghana, Her Excellency Lulama Xingwana. Other dignitaries will also grace the occasion.
