A Non Governmental Organization (NGO), In Trust For Charity (ITFC) has donated items worth over GHC 20,000 to the Shekinah Clinic in Tamale in the Northern Region.The items donated to the Clinic include; bags of rice and maize, clothes, shoes, toiletries, cooking oil, disinfectants and pharmaceuticals.The clinic was selected by the NGO because of its philosophy of reaching out to the poor, destitute, sick, HIV patients and the mentally ill.Officials of ITFC said they were touched by the good works of the clinic led by the founder and director Dr. David Abdulai.ITFC is a newly formed NGO that is dedicated to empowering people and protecting human dignity, respect to cultural diversity.It is made up of three young Ghanaians determined to reaching out to the less privileged in the society through an identifiable group or organization, individuals and families with genuine needs for survival.
The NGO is Ghanaian owned and financed with contributions by its members and other benevolent individuals who believe in the drive to reach out and protect the dignity of humanity.Dr. David Abdulai expressed appreciation for the items donated. He said the items could not have come at any better time, especially when some of the pharmaceutical and surgeries done at the hospital depend solely on divine providence.
Mr Selassie Agbemabiesie, leader and founder of In Trust For Charity (I.T.F.C), said this is the major and maiden donation by the organization and promised to extend more support to the Shekinah Clinic and other needy organizations within Ghana and beyond.He also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to all who donated items towards this worthy cause.
