Andy Murray this afternoon made history as he became the first Briton to win the men's singles title at Wimbledon for 77 years.
The Scot beat world number one Novak Djokovic in straight sets, becoming the first Briton to take the title since Fred Perry in 1936.
With the likes of Prime Minister David Cameron, Labour leader Ed Miliband and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney watching from the Royal Box, the Scot won 6-4 7-5 6-4.
This was a 19th tour-level meeting between two men who were born only a week apart and first played each other as 11-year-olds.
