Players and officials of Kumasi Asante Kotoko will this Thursday visit the Owner and Life Patron of the club, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace.
Head of the club’s communication team, Dr. Ernest Opoku made this disclosure to asantekotokosc.com in a brief interview.
The visit to the revered palace will however be preceded by a street procession by the players with this season’s Glo Premier League trophy.
The procession will start from the club secretariat through the principal streets of Kumasi and end at Manhyia.
The team is expected to present both the league trophy and the Champion of Champions title they won this season and September 2012 respectively to the Asantehene during their visit.
On Friday, the team will also worship at the Kumasi Central Mosque to thank God for this season’s success.
A similar thanksgiving service will be held for the team on Sunday at the St. Ann’s Anglican Church also in Kumasi before the friendly match against South Africa’s Premier League side, Mamelodi Sundowns.
