Roger de Sa has finally confirmed that Orlando Pirates have signed Ghanaian international goalkeeper Fatau Dauda.
Dauda, who signs from Ashanti Gold SC in the Ghana Premier League, is not yet registered for the CAF Champions League, which is why he was not on the bench during Bucs’ goalless draw against AC Leopards at Orlando Stadium last night.
The goalkeeper has been linked with Pirates since early June, but no official word has been forthcoming from the club until now.
Pirates currently have two goalkeepers, Senzo Meyiwa and Brighton Mhlongo, registered in the competition, after Moeneeb Josephs’ recent departure from the club.
“Dauda is registered, he is a Pirates player,” De Sa confirms to KickOff.com.
