Dr Kofi Koduah Sarpong has not resigned as Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko contrary to media speculations suggesting otherwise.
Dr Ernest Opoku, Head of Communications at Kotoko said the club has yet to receive any form of notification in that regard amidst media reports the chairman has walked out.
"The management has not received anything about his purported resignation or otherwise as been speculated in the media. We are simply unaware of any development like that", he said.
"The last time I saw Dr Sarpong was last Friday, and he never gave any indication like that. He is also behind plans to have everything set for our usual management meeting on Wednesday", he stressed.
There have been rife media reports about Dr Sarpong's continued stay with the Porcupine Warriors amidst suggestions he was dissatisfied with some assertions made by owner of the club, Otumfour Osei Tutu II during a visit last Thursday.
Sources close to the chairman who has been in charge of Kotoko the last three years claim his resignation from the club is imminent.
Despite the intensity of the speculations, Dr Opoku insists the club is not in a turmoil, insisting "the dust will settle by the next few days and team Kotoko will be the winner", he said.
