Twelve distinct ladies have been selected to compete in the 2013 Miss Malaika beauty pageant. They excelled in various tasks given them throughout the audition. The 12 were among those who topped a group of 20 beautiful ladies drawn out of the over 500 who turned up for the audition. They were tasked to tell their life stories through pictures. Among them are Yoda Akwesi, 23-year-old Level 400 student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology reading Veterinary Science; Lois Nana Akua Dapaah, 19-year-old former student of St Roses Senior High School; Selma Ramatu Alhassan, 21-year-old final-year student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology reading Pharmacy. Lordina Osei, 22 year-old level 400 student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology studying chemistry; Nana Adwoa Twumwaa Baafi, 22-years-old and a final year student at the University of Ghana, reading French and Linguistics. Contestants for the 2013 edition of the Miss Malaika also include Betty Afrifa- Thompson, 22-year-old Radford University final year student reading Human Resource Management; Eugenia Babonye, 19-year-old and a graduate of Corpus Christi Catholic Senior High School waiting to be admitted to University Of Ghana where she hopes to study law; Abigail Konadu Ampofo, 21-year-old and a student of University of Ghana. The rest of the beautiful contestants vying for the 3Cs - Car, Cash and Crown - are Aisha Kaleem, 18-years and a graduate of Ghana International School; Vicentia Ofori-Dwumfuo, 21-years and a Banking and Finance student at Wisconsin International University College Naa Oyoe Quartey, 19-years and a graduate from Wesley Girls' High School waiting for admission into the University of Ghana; and Priscilla Agyapomaa Okyere, a third year student reading Bsc. Information Technology at Ghana Telecom University College. The pageant, which is organised by GhOne Entertainment TV with support from Charter House Productions, is billed to be a fierce and entertaining encounter.
