Some Ghanaian workers at a Chinese casino at Osu here in Accra are accusing their Chinese employers of sexual harassment and deliberately reducing their SSNIT contributions.
A former female cashier, whose name has been withheld, claims she was laid off after rejecting several requests for sex by her Chinese manager.
In an interview with Joy News' Francisca Kakra Forson she said she filed a complaint at the Domestic Violence and Victims’ support unit of the police but is worried nothing may come out of it.
According to her, she received countless messages from her boss demanding nude pictures of herself- requests she has consistently turned down.
Another staff- an IT specialist at the casino corroborated claims by one of the victims.
He also accused the Chinese employers of deliberately reducing the SSNIT contributions paid on their behalf in violation of the law.
Joy news contacted the manager of the Chinese casino and but he denied the allegations.
He said he had only expressed interest in the lady which she turned down, and was surprised she had filed a complaint.
DOVVSU has began investigation into the matter.
