MTN Ghana has presented branded souvenirs, recharge cards worth GHC500 and a cheque for GHC2,000 among other items to the National Chief Imam towards the celebration of this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr.
At a brief ceremony held at the residence of the National Chief Imam in Fadama, MTN presented items, which also included six bags of rice, four cartons of vegetable oil, 30 boxes of mineral water, 20 cartons of soft drinks, and a ram.
The items were received by the National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Usumanu Nuhu Sharubutu.
Customer Service and Credit Management Manager at MTN Ghana, Salihu Abu who presented the items noted that MTN had supported the celebration of Eidul Fitr for the past six years and continues to do so because of the continuous relationship it had with the Muslim community in Ghana.
He also encouraged members of the Muslim community to nominate people to be part of the ‘MTN Heroes of Change’ project.
“MTN has launched ‘Heroes of Change’ to award deserving persons in society. This year we are identifying people in our communities who have taken initiatives to improve the lives of the people in their communities. These people will be honored as Heroes of Change. We therefore urge you to look out for people in immediate communities and all over Ghana and nominate them for this project,” Abu said.
The National Chief Imam thanked MTN for their continuous generosity towards the Muslim community in Ghana and also prayed for the continued success of MTN’s business.
