Last week, Gyan was stripped of the captaincy and handed different role as General Captain of the team, a decision which didn't go down well with him.
He announced his retirement from the national team but later rescinded after Ghana president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo intervened.
Asamoah Gyan is Ghana’s leading top scorer with 51 goals.
