The Volta Regional Police Command has arrested five persons involved in the disturbances at the office premises of the District Chief Executive for Krachi West, Oti Region Tuesday.
They also forcibly removed the DCE for Krachi West, Douglas Osei-Nti from his office and also locked the office, thereby preventing the DCE from carrying out his duties.

The arrested persons are Mathias Banyolonso, Sarfo Sunkwa, Amos Eseikor, Tijani Shaibu and Murtala Yakubu, all believed to be former constituency executives of the governing New Patriotic Party in Krachi West.
The suspects are being investigated for assault by imprisonment, offensive conduct and causing unlawful damage among others.
The Police Administration has cautioned the general public, especially the youth, to use lawful or laid-down procedures to address grievances.
According to the Service, any individuals or groups of persons who engage in acts of lawlessness or criminality will be arrested, investigated and prosecuted.
The Service has assured the general public that it will continue to provide adequate security for all well-meaning citizens and residents of Ghana.
