Residents of Avanor, a suburb of Accra have raised the alarm concerning a burning Power Distribution Services (PDS) pole.
The cause of the fire, which started at the dawn of Thursday, remains unknown.
According to the residents attempts to reach the PDS and the Ghana National Fire Service have proven futile.
Parts of the area are currently in darkness as a result of the blazing electricity pole.
