Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo, Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister has advised residents of Fiaso, a farming community in the Techiman Municipality and its environs to fully co-operate with health personnel posted to the local health facility there.
He entreated them to patronise the facility in order to receive proper health care, instead of travelling to nearby communities for medical attention.
Mr. Aidoo gave the advice at the inauguration of a GHC49,000 Community-based Health Planning Services (CHPS) Compound clinic constructed by the Municipal Assembly with funding from the Urban Development Grant (UDG).
The facility has a two-seater KVIP place of convenience, a urinal, two-bed rooms for nurses and three rooms for clinical purposes.
The Minister urged nurses who would be posted to the clinic to exhibit love and sympathy for their patients and clients, especially pregnant women.
Nana Kwao Adams, Twafohene of Forikrom, who chaired the function, appealed to the authorities to extend water and electricity to the clinic to facilitate the work of nurses.
The Regional Minister later inspected a newly-constructed six-classroom block Junior High School and a primary school constructed in 1995, which had its roofs ripped off recently by a windstorm.
Mr. Aidoo assured that the school would be re-roofed before it re-opens in September this year.
Mr. Felix Chaahaa, Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council and Dr. George Adjei-Hinneh, Regional Director of Education were among the Minister’s entourage.
