Over a hundred residents in Bunkprugu in the Northern Region have been rendered homeless as result of flooding caused by torrential rains on Saturday. About 111 houses have so far been submerged by the floods while several farmlands have been destroyed. The affected communities are Najong, No 1 and 2, according to reports. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the area, Solomon Boah described the disaster as unfortunate. Reports also indicate that the district NADMO Secretariat is struggling to respond to distress calls due to inadequate resources.
