The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) will now take over the completion of the stalled affordable housing projects.
Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Collins Dauda disclosed this to Joy News Thursday, after inspecting a 5,000 housing unit project at Prampram, expected to begin next month.
He says government is unable to raise funds to complete the project which was initiated under the John Agyekum Kufuor administration.
However, he said, "We have agreed with SSNIT to take over the buildings and complete them... we are just at the preparatory stage where we are getting some documentaries together, so far as SSNIT is concerned funding is not in doubt."
