PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will soon open a business school in Ghana to deliver entrepreneurship, leadership and general skills development to business leaders, especially those in the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector.
This was made known by Mr Suresh Kana, Territory Senior Partner(“TSP”), PwC Africa, when he paid a working visit to Ghana from the 11-13 September 2013.
During his visit, he met with President John Mahama and assured him of PwC’s commitment to the development of highly skilled business executives in Ghana to support the country’s economic growth.
Speaking at a cocktail reception to mark the admission into Partnership of Mrs Sarah-Mary Frimpong, the PwC Africa TSP noted that, as many African economies are showing signs of sustained recovery and growth, Africa has become a global economic focal point.
Referring to the PwC Annual Global CEO Survey and Africa Business Agenda which was published in October 2013, Mr Kana said, “many business executives are confident on growth prospects especially in Africa and PwC is excited to partner with, and support clients as they expand into Africa”.
He noted that the establishment of the business school will provide a great opportunity for business executives to acquire new skills to become more competitive in the global market.
In Africa, PwC is the largest provider of professional services with close to 450 partners and over 8,500 people located in 32 countries.
This enables PwC to provide clients with seamless and consistent service, wherever they’re located on the continent.
