The management of Ghana Oil Company Ltd (GOIL) says adverts about an ongoing recruitment exercise purported to be coming from them is a fraud.
In a statement issued Tuesday October 1, 2013 the company said the unidentified fraudsters behind the scheme "have issued fake appointment letters to some persons offering them employment with GOIL, amongst other promises."
GOIL management says they have further gathered that unsuspecting job seekers have also been asked to pay some money into designated accounts for registration.
But the oil marketing company says "the company is not undertaking any recruitment exercise, and has not asked anyone to pay any registration fees into any bank account."
The firm has therefore urged anyone who may have fallen victim to the scam to report to the Police immediately for redress.
