A member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu says recent outbursts by leading members at the presidency exposed the frustration in government.

 Citing the recent comment by National Security Advisor, Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo Mensah (rtd) on labour agitations to buttress his point, he said the Mahama administration has no clue about how to salvage Ghana’s crippled economy.

John Boadu was speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, October 22.

He said the poor state of the economy could be seen in government's inability to provide “common chalk” to Junior High schools across the country.

The NPP man expressed worry about the present situation, where education, which is a constitutional right of every Ghanaian child of school going age, had turned to be a privilege under the "incompetent" Mahama government.

The NPP man blamed the current state of the economy on government reckless spending to retain power.

“I pity the ministers in this government considering the economic mess we find ourselves. In a country where over 70 percent of total revenue is used to pay salaries of workers then we are in big trouble” he noted.

John Boadu further opined that for a Security Advisor to the president to vent his anger on innocent workers asking for what is due them, proves how things had fallen apart in government.

He was skeptical about government supposed measures to mitigate the hardship on Ghanaians with the continuous reckless spending at the presidency.
