Accra Hearts of Coach David Duncan says Referee Ottis Oppong was fair in side’s 1-1 drawn home game against in Accra on Sunday against King Faisal.
The Phobians, who were gunning to close the gap on rivals Kotoko equalized through Romeo Agban in the 44th minute after Sulley Mohammed slotted home a perfect counter attack in the 7th minute of the game.
Hearts fans were furious with the performance of the center referee Ottis Oppong and as a result invaded the pitch moments after the referee’s whistled for the end of the game for the points to be splitted.
But speaking after the game, Coach Duncan says Referee Ottis Oppong is not the reason for his team failure to win the match.
“I didn't focus too much on officiating. I don't have too many complains to make as far as officiating is concern," Duncan said after the match at a press conference.
"I didn't see too much of errors on his part. Even If it did happen it might be very marginal."
Hearts of Oak now lie second on the radar with 20 points after 10 games and will face Amidaus on November 10 at the Tema Park.
