Ghana youth striker Ebenezer Assifuah is delighted with his recent performance for his club FC Sion in Switzerland.
The youngster took just three minutes to score the opening goal for FC Sion while another Ghanaian midfielder Ishmael Yartey put up an outstanding display in their 3-0 hammering of Luzern in the Swiss Super League.
The ex-Liberty professionals striker, who has been influential for the lower division side, was thrilled with his performances so far but revealed he struggled with life in his first months at the club.
"Things were not going on well then. But now, I am used to the terrain here and I'm coping with the intensity of the games," Assifuah said on Asempa FM Sports.
"Initially when I came to FC Sion, I was asked to play in the team B. I wasn't happy with that because I performed well at the World Cup and deserved to be with the senior team. But with hard training and commitment, I have been promoted quickly to the senior team."
The 2013 Under-20 goal king award winner added that his inability to speak with the Swiss Language is his major hindrance now and finds himself reduced in coping with the players and coaches.
"I am struggling with the (French) Language. I can't effectively communicate with the players and coaches and that has been my worry for now. Happy to learn the language fast."
The 20-year-old has scored twice in succession which has seen his club occupying the 6th position in the 10-team Swiss league.
