Mr Godwin Kwasi Kumah, Presiding Circuit Court Judge in Techiman has called on the police and prosecutors to make thorough investigations on suspects before arraigning them before court.
He noted that prosecutors normally lost their cases in court because of improper presentation of cases as expected by judges.
Mr Kumah made the observation when he acquitted and discharged four suspects from Kawampe, near Kintampo, charged with assaulting a driver at the lorry station at Kawampe after failing to pay loading fees.
He expressed his concern about how some police personnel fail to conduct proper investigations into cases to warrant the prosecution of suspected criminals.
"Such criminals at times go free for lack of evidence and thus go back to continue with their criminal activities", the Presiding judge noted.
Mr Kumah said the Techiman municipal circuit court would never involve itself in chieftaincy as well as land or political issues and expected the police and other law enforcing agencies to also do the right thing for offenders to be dealt with accordingly.Source: GNA
