Football administrator and member of Ghana MTN FA Cup committee, Kurt Okraku has denied claims that he is the agent linking coach Klaus Toppmoller to the Ghana Football Association as its being alledged that the technical luminary has been spotted in the Ghana.
It is claimed that 62-year-old, who has been out of job since leaving his post as Georgia national team coach in 2008, has been in the country since last Saturday to seal the deal with the Ghana FA as a technical director of the Black Stars.
But the former Hearts of Oak management member has vehemently denied all that and pledged his support for coach Kwesi Appiah.
"I don't know any Toppmoller. I have not seen him and he is not my friend. The rumour about this issue is purely irresponsible journalism because I don't know any Toppmooller or whatever he calls himself. Ghana has a competent coach in Kwesi Appiah and we must support him," Okraku said.
Appiah is on the verge of making history by becoming the first indigenous Ghanaian coach to lead the Black Stars to the World Cup finals.
The ex-Ghana captain masterminded the World Cup playoff first leg 6-1 win at the Baba Yara Stadium three weeks ago.
