The accused pleaded guilty.Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Eben Darko said on December 7 the convict broke into a room belonging to Kobina Abeka, a fisherman who had gone on a fishing expedition, and took away a travelling bag containing personal effects. The bag belonged to one Isaac Mensah, who had travelled to Nigeria and had left it in the care of Abeka.Chief Inspector Darko said when Abeka returned from fishing and detected the theft, he informed Mensah about it.
